Spectrum of Rockford LGBTQA is a safe place for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Allies.
We provide social and supportive activities in an alcohol free and smoke free environment. We welcome those age 13 and older.
Spectrum of Rockford is led by LGBTQ professionals. We provide supportive services such as individual therapy and group therapy.
Our community includes those who reside in the Rockford Illinois area such Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Belvidere, Rockton, Roscoe as well as surrounding Wisconsin cities such as Beloit, WI and Janesville, WI.

AT SUGAR RIVER FOREST PRESERVE
Join Spectrum of Rockford LGBTQA - Rockford IL area's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and allies organization for our first annual BIG GAY CAMPING WEEKEND! This will be a family friendly and pet friendly event. Bring your tents and campers and your creature comforts such as chairs, games, alcohol drinks, etc.
PARTY AND CONTESTS: We will host a Luau Party, games & contests, Glow Party Dinner, and Pancake Breakfast. Join us for Gay Camping Olympics. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive prizes! 10 Games to play and win: Three-legged race, rainbow egg toss, drag race, lip sync & dance, rainbow scavenger hunt, ring toss, safe sex race, gay IQ test, and pie eating contest.
LOCATION: Sugar River Forest Preserve is located at 10127 Forest Preserve Road, Durand, IL 61024. It is located 9 miles west of Rockton, IL. Take Rockton Road to Forest Preserve Road and Forest is located at the dead end at Forest Preserve road.
COST: Cost is $60.00 per person for the weekend. It includes camping fees, meals and games. Other rates apply for partial attendance.
$25.00 Friday only (Luau Party).
$35.00 for Saturday only (Games & Glow Party Dinner).
$15.00 for Sunday only (Pancake Breakfast).
For Friday and Saturday only or for Saturday and Sunday only, just add up the individual fees.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We will definitely need some help with this big event. Each day you volunteer, you can take $10.00 off your event fee for that day. Contact Lisa to register to volunteer.
