This group is for bisexual men, women, and trans people.  Issues such as coming out to others, acceptance from the gay/lesbian community, dealing with ex's, having healthy relationships, etc.  Led by Naomi Nordine, M.A., Counselor, and Steven Christopher, Counselor.  Group is covered by many insurance companies and a sliding fee scale is available.  Please call 815-871-2831 to register for the group. 

8 WEEK THERAPY GROUP

This group is for those questioning their sexual orientation or those who are newly identifying as gay, lesbian, or bisexual.  Discussion of the continuun of sexual orientation, where do you fit, actions versus desires/fantasy, how to come out (or not), coping with acceptance, dealing with family and friends, and how to have healthy relationships.  Led by Naomi Nordine, M.A., Counselor, and Steven Christopher, Counselor.  Group is covered by many insurance companies and a sliding fee scale is available.  Please call 815-871-2831 to register for the group.

Ongoing Group Meeting for 8 weeks, every Wednesday.

Description: Love Your Body: Healthy Living at Every Size is a psychoeducational therapy group that addresses body image from the perspective of positive, healthy living in any body – no matter your body size, weight, or health condition. It is open to people of any size who are ages 15 and up. Participants will be introduced to a non-diet, size accepting approach to a healthy lifestyle.

Topics include:

This class will offer hope to the person who has struggled with their body image and weight; there are healthy options for changing your relationship with food and your body. Spring Crystal Ball – Masquerade Party

Description:  A fun springtime masquerade party!  Come dressed in drag…or just dress up as your favorite character, role-model, or diva!  We’ll have a gay ole time at this gender-blender dress up dance party!  Come make light of rigid gender roles or celebrate your own unique “alter” identity in a fun open environment.  Best dressed awards will be held at the end of the party.  Refreshments provided!  Must call  to RSVP in advance at 815-871-2831.
